About The Role
Our underground coal mine is seeking highly motivated Electricians to join our underground team in Narrabri, NSW. Our Longwall is fully automated and utilises some of the most advanced technology in Australia. We are a long life mine with approvals to operate until 2044.
What You’ll Do
- Undertake and direct electrical maintenance activities on shift as needed
- Work collaboratively with your crew members, assisting where required and be a positive influence in high performance behaviour in the workplace
- Support site HSEC policy and procedures, following safe work procedures as set out for the work process
- Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects
- Completion of all necessary statutory equipment inspections in your panel.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience working in underground mining
- Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification/ license
- Experience/ qualifications in Flameproof Protection Enclosures
- Experience/ qualifications in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Training (EEHA)
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon
