Status: Maximum term up to 12 months, Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Salary: $122,577 to $134,851 per annum pro rata + 11% superannuation 

            

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Economic Development and Placemaking team are seeking a Producer Events (maternity leave up to 12 months) to lead our Events team. 

Purpose:

The Producer Events is responsible for delivering a suite of signature and civic events across Randwick which celebrates and promotes local culture, connect residents with their community and attracts visitors. The role requires extensive experience in event delivery and leadership to manage the Events team. 

About the role:

  • Managing a program of annual events that align with Councils’ strategies and plans. 
  • Leading and supporting a small team of Events professionals to deliver the events calendar.
  • Managing all operational aspects of Council events from pre-planning through to delivery and evaluation.  
  • Maintaining strong partnerships with local businesses, community organisations, creative suppliers and individuals and other relevant stakeholders and Government agencies. 

About you:

  • Extensive major events sector experience working on a range of diverse events in the public domain.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a team.   
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to respond quickly and flexibly to changing circumstances.
  • Advanced scheduling and planning and budgeting skills.
