Status: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

Salary: $101,400 to $111,569 plus 11% superannuation

       

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Applications team within Information Management and Technology Services is seeking an Applications Analyst to join our team of Applications and Infrastructure specialists. 

Purpose:

The Applications Analyst will drive the effective utilisation of Council’s enterprise application software and supporting systems and infrastructure to meet business needs and deliver the best possible experience for internal and external customers; and will undertake a program of continuous improvement projects to maintain and enhance the technology environment. 

About the role:

The role reports to the Coordinator, Applications Management.  In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the design of new or upgraded applications and supporting infrastructure to support customer requirements.
  • Lead on transitioning new and improved services into the live environment and supporting customers during the change.
  • Manage a caseload of escalated support cases including managing vendors and suppliers.
  • Identify and develop requirements and deliver projects with a continuous improvement focus. 

Council is currently transforming its enterprise applications suite to be cloud based with current products in use including TechnologyOne Assets and Financials, Infor Pathway local government solution, Dayforce Human Resources, Content Manager records management and a variety of smaller applications for specific business needs. The Applications Analyst will play a key role in driving the utilisation of enterprise application functionality and assisting the business to optimise their business processes with the primary objective of providing the best possible customer experience. Council is also reviewing our datacentre strategy and focussing heavily on cyber security and cyber resilience. 

About you:

To excel in the role, you will have:

  • Knowledge of and experience in working in an application support role in a similar organisation to Council
  • Skills in application and/or infrastructure projects including implementation, configuration, operation, maintenance, optimisation, upgrades and retirement of apps.
  • Knowledge of change, release and deployment processes from ITIL.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of operational support requests.
  • Skilled in consulting and sharing information, problem solving and working collaboratively.
